Little Boppers
Caters for children approx 2-4 yrs
The sessions take place at St Andrews church halls, Monkseaton.
Every Saturday morning (term time only).
Little Boppers is a mini stage class, which offers a safe environment in which children will interact, learn, experiment and have fun whilst learning co ordination, rhythm, spatial awareness, and concentration, through the use of movement, music, poetry, songs and stories.
The sessions are led by Ema Waites who is fully qualified in dance and childcare and has a wealth of experience within the arts. Ema is assisted by four students who work with her each week, they support the children throughout the session and are also responsible for escorting the children out of the session to their accompanying adult should they need the toilet or have any problems.
Adults are asked to remain in the waiting room throughout the session so that they can be easily located should there be any problems. Here you are welcome to enjoy some refreshments at a small cost.
Children are not required to wear a uniform for Little Boppers, however, please make sure they are dressed suitably, and wear clothes which are comfortable and do not restrict movement. Outdoor shoes may NOT be worn as they may carry grit or glass which could cause injury and also damage the floor. Socks and tights are NOT suitable as they are too slippery. Socks with grips on the bottom (slipper socks) sandshoes or bare feet are fine. (We also sell dance shoes)
A few times a year parents are invited into the last part of the children’s class for a ‘sharing’ where the children will show you some of the things we have been doing within the term. These are usually at Xmas, Easter and the end of the summer term.
